Pekka Halonen Boy on the shore 1891-93. Poika rannalla.The blonde boy on the picture is Pekka Halonen's almost fifteen years younger brother called Little-Kalle. He too wanted to become a painter just like his brother. Pekka Halonen showed the boy's works to his artist friends Eero Järnefelt and Akseli Gallén-Kallela and they all thought him talented. Sadly Little-Kalle died from pneumonia only twelve years old.
